"Have a LinkedIn profile, and ensure it's detailed and accurate LinkedIn is the biggest professional networking platform. Many recruiters and talent specialists use LinkedIn to headhunt great talent for their roles and the profiles that get noticed are ones that are well put together. These profiles need to reflect your resume so ensure that there are no discrepancies. If you want your profile to grab the attention of recruiters and talent specialists, then ensure it is detailed. Talk about what you specialize in, what projects you've been working on, and what you're looking to do. This will help us to see if your experience aligns with roles that we are working on. LinkedIn is also a great site to network with professionals in your field, and you should never be shy in reaching out to people from companies you are interested in to see if the work environment aligns with what you are looking for. LinkedIn is a very powerful tool that should be utilized to its fullest!"

About Jessica P.

Key experience
Straight from high school, I pursued a degree in Social Work. Ultimately it never really turned into a passion of mine and ended up working retail for a few years before realizing I had a passion for talent/HR. I then decided to pursue a post-graduate certificate in Human Resources Management, and completed an internship at a recruitment agency. From there I've always felt passionate about the recruitment/talent side to HR and built my professional career in that space. I went from recruiting construction professionals, to front line healthcare workers in the midst of the Pandemic, to healthcare EMR implementation/strategy consultants, and now to Workday consultants. I truly love matching great candidates to amazing careers, and seeing their growth and impact to organizations.
Current position
In my role as Talent Programs Manager at Kognitiv, I have the opportunity to shape meaningful experiences that make a real impact—for both our current team and future talent. From designing and rolling out initiatives that enhance our employer brand to optimizing our hiring programs and supporting our people-first culture, I get to build with purpose. I collaborate across teams to ensure every touchpoint—from first impressions to long-term engagement—reflects who we are and where we’re going. It's incredibly rewarding to help drive growth while creating an environment where people feel valued, empowered, and excited to be part of Kognitiv.
Main motivation

I love the work that I do here at Kognitiv and my motivation is to bring the best talent onboard. I love having the opportunity to extend offers to candidates, and getting them excited for their new career at Kognitiv. I also enjoy receiving feedback from the hiring managers about how great our new hires are, and how they are making an impact at Kognitiv. Nothing gets me more excited than finding a candidate whose values align with ours, who fits perfectly in our fun and engaging culture, and ultimately wants to grow their career @ Kognitiv!

Greatest achievement

Throughout my career so far within Talent Acquisition, I've always had an interest in employer branding. Up until now, I never had an opportunity to get involved in that area. This was discussed when I was interviewing with Kog, and ever since, I've had an opportunity to gain some experience in this area. I participated heavily in our careers page revamp, I've also had the opportunity to make revisions and post content to our LinkedIn company page, Glassdoor and Indeed. I also get the opportunity to research other areas of employment branding and help influence future decisions in this area.

I’m exploring the Kognitiv Associate Program. I have 10+ yrs in HR Ops & hands-on experience on HRIS like SAP, Adrenalin. I’m keen to transition into Workday consulting. Does the program include Workday training before client assignments? I have a good grasp of HRIS expectations & system workflows.
