I've been an avid learner and I just love to jump in and learn new things and it's the curiosity that drives me. This curiosity led me to pursue Sciences during high school, went on to pursue my graduation in Business Administration with a specialization in Foreign Trade, completed two diplomas in Graphics and Web design, and then finally completed my education with a Master's in Business Administration in Finance, wait for it, and then joined the Consulting world at Kognitiv as my first full-time job! Along this path, I've had the opportunity to work in fields such as Preventive Healthcare at a small CEO-led firm, Manufacturing at one of India's finest garment exporters, Finance at one of the Big 4s, and some Freelancing relating to Web and Graphic Design. Working here at Kognitiv, I can say that I have probably picked up something if not nothing from everywhere I worked at, every institute I've been to for my studies. I've always kept the knowledge and the exposure I gained at all the places I've been to, and those have been my Key Experiences!

I work on many types of integrations, these can be break fixes on integrations which, sometimes I work on enhancements on already existing integrations in the client's ecosystem, and sometimes it's the deployment of a new integration system from scratch which involves rigorous testing with vendors, approvals from various stakeholders. Integrations are of many types, such as a template integration or a custom build, all of which have their challenges, and every build is new. Each integration will have a different requirement even if you have worked with the same vendor for a different client, it all is dependent on multiple factors. The last year has been a great learning curve for me, from knowing nothing about Workday to knowing more about its module and constantly expanding my knowledge of the Product. Working and having hands-on experience with new areas and integrations is something that always keeps me driving in my current position!

What I realized in my previous work experiences even though they were internships, I realized that the work that was being done was mundane and repetitive. Even my managers and seniors were doing the same work as an intern was doing which did not make sense to me. I wanted to be in a place where I am challenged, where I have to think before doing anything and approach every problem with a new solution. That is what working here at Kognitiv is like, and I love it! There's a challenge every day, which keeps my excitement up for the day, and at the end of the day you feel an accomplishment, you worked and delivered something that mattered and it fixed a problem for someone. And I don't have to worry about not having the solution to a problem, I know I have my colleagues having my back to whom I can turn if I am stuck, and someone with experience will always help me out!

Just do what makes sense to you, it'll make sense for the world. My path to being her has been somewhat not aligned. I have studied business, design, and finance and ended up in Integrations Consulting. I used to question myself and wonder if I am riding down the correct path because I didn't know it would lead to this opportunity, which I love dearly. Looking back at the journey, I can now say the education and the skills I gathered over the years are helping me grow in my current role and it now makes sense for everyone. Web Design course taught me the basics of HTML and CSS, which helped me to start with the basics of Integrations (Similar coding language, not the same) and helped develop a code logic acumen. The business degrees gave me the social skills for effective communication and finally, Finance probably paved the path to realization of how consulting is where I would be good at. A Year with Kognitv, and it all finally makes sense!

I have exposure to multiple domains, which may not be from direct employment but I've learned many different things, I volunteered on a few projects, and completed internships at various organizations. I wanted to explore opportunities as I was new and wanted to figure out things through exploring. I've had experience in Coding, Graphic design, Finance, and International Business, even though these were great learning experiences, they never gave me a push to dedicate my career to these fields, it just felt incomplete. While joining Kognitiv, I had a lot of questions about myself, like is this the correct career path I want to pursue? If consulting is my niche ? I was totally new and had no clue about what I was getting into, I just saw some of my interests align, and boom I was in! Honestly, I have no idea where the last year went, but been here for 1 year working as an Associate Integrations Consultant, and I consider the decision to join Kognitiv and looking past all the fears and just trusting my gut as my greatest achievement!
