Starting a career right after college can be both exciting and daunting. In June 2023, fresh out of college, I took the plunge and joined Kognitiv’s Associate Program. I was eager to jump into the world of Workday, a leading cloud-based platform for HR and finance. With no prior Workday experience, I learned the fundamentals over several weeks through Kognitiv’s structured Associate Program, which gave me the solid foundation I needed to get started with confidence.

One of the things I appreciate most about Kognitiv is the ongoing learning and growth opportunities. After completing the Associate Program, my team provided me with many learning opportunities, allowing me to grow my knowledge in real-time by working directly with clients. In addition to working directly with clients, Kognitiv has been great at providing supplemental internal training opportunities. I’ve taken various courses to deepen my knowledge across different modules, enhancing my ability to support clients more effectively. The continuous learning environment at Kognitiv ensures that I’m always evolving in my role.

Today, my day-to-day responsibilities change based on the projects I am working on. Some days are full of data conversion and uploads to Workday, some days are all about troubleshooting an issue or finding a creative solution to a customer issue, and other days are busy supporting clients with testing their configuration and providing recommendations. The variety of projects and tasks in my role continuously challenge me and ultimately make me a better consultant. 

Through my journey with Kognitiv, I’ve realized my passion for helping clients successfully implement Workday. This wasn't a passion I knew I had when starting my career with Kognitiv. I am grateful that Kog has fostered an environment where exploration, learning new modules, and finding what makes you passionate are encouraged. It is so fulfilling to see the positive impact our work has on clients, especially when everything clicks during a Go-Live.

Looking ahead, I’m excited for what’s to come in my career with Kognitiv. The exposure to different clients, the diverse projects, and the internal support make it an amazing place to start and grow professionally. I’m excited to continue expanding my skill set and contributing to the success of our clients as they navigate their Workday journeys.
