Application, Interview and Preparation Process

What to know about our hiring process

Promoting from within is a key part of our culture and growth strategy. We want to reward employees for dedication and commitment to Kognitiv, and we want to continue to see our employees grow both vertically and horizontally. Kognitiv is continuing this culture in many ways.

Kognitiv’s recruiting process, on average, takes no more than three weeks from the initial screening call. We aim to go no more than seven days without updating you on the status of your application.

You should expect anywhere from two to four interviews depending on the role. Being a fully remote company, all of our interviews are conducted via Zoom. See our Virtual Interview Tips below.

You can view the status of your application by logging into your Candidate Home account. Please click the Sign In button in the top right corner. You will also receive automated email updates regarding your application.

We contact candidates via email regarding next steps and interview scheduling. We may call and leave a message if we have trouble reaching you.

After signing your offer letter, you’ll receive an email to begin your background check within 48 hours. HR may reach out with additional updates and questions throughout the process.

New employees receive their equipment 1-2 business days before their start date. Equipment will be mailed to the address you provided when accepting your offer. Kognitiv will provide the tracking number for your equipment once shipped.

Your first order of business will be participating in virtual onboarding to learn about:

  • Who we are and how we work
  • Our client support model and services
  • How we make decisions and improve our workplace
  • The Kognitiv mission, vision, and core values
  • Our company goals and leadership philosophy
  • Our tools, teams, clients, and more

Remote Working

Kognitiv is 100% remote, and we want you to make the most of it.

  1. Ensure you have a private place to work. Not only so you can concentrate and work peacefully, but so that you can also maintain data security.
  2. Create a properly ergonomic workstation, where you'll be comfortable. New hires get a stipend for home office costs.
  3. Use work-related and just-for-fun Slack channels to interact with your team and other employees throughout the company.
  4. Take a break and step away from your desk. Eat lunch, get some fresh air, go for a quick walk, play with the dog or whatever helps clear your mind, so you can come back to your desk feeling refreshed.

Avoid distractions. We understand you will most likely be interviewing from home, and that a family member or a pet may make a guest appearance. Do your best to stay focused on the interview.
