Anonymous asked a question to Dana N.
In my current role as Project Manager, I didn't really know what to expect. I knew I would be getting assigned to projects and delving into using new systems. I'd be working with new clients and leading colleagues on projects. Otherwise, It was a very new area for me and I didn't think much about it.
If I go back to my first role at Kognitiv for what I expected, it's easier to explain. I expected to have a pretty steep learning curve for learning new systems and all new people. I'd also never worked with clients outside of my own company before. I wasn't sure how my work would be structured or how busy I'd be.
In the end, it was important for me (in both roles) to be patient with myself if I felt like I wasn't "getting it", ask lots of questions, and just immerse myself in the whole culture.
I hope that helps but please let me know if it doesn't!
